CONTINENT

A continent is one of several large landmasses on Earth. They are generally identified by convention rather than any strict criteria, with seven regions commonly regarded as continents – they are (from largest in size to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.

Thanks Yurany, You are right, We are so lucky for take it. On the other hand I want to share with you the highest point in the Peruvian Andes, above the Urubamba River, on a mountain called Machu Picchu, lies the Lost City of the Incas, which at one time was the centre of the greatest empire in South America. For four hundred years nobody kenw anything about Machu Picchu until the American historian and archaeologist Hiram Bingham discovered it, by chance, in 1911.

The world's highest point is Mount Everest, is a mountain known as the forehead of the sky or the mother of the universe and is located in Asia.
However there are two low points on earth and are the Challenger abyss and the gulf coast of the Dead Sea.

What about Colombia? Here is some similar information in our country:
Elevation extremes: lowest point: Pacific Ocean 0 m; highest point: Pico Cristobal Colon 5,975 m note: nearby Pico Simon Bolivar also has the same elevation. Nice facts.

In South America the highest poit is Mount Aconcagua in the border of Argentina and Chile, in the Andes Mountain Chain. And Monik, you are right about Picos Colon and Bolivar in La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, one of the most beautiful places in Colombia.
